The Dubai World Cup closed its 2025 edition with an unforgettable ceremony that combined tradition, innovation, and an unprecedented aerial display before more than 60,000 spectators at the Meydan Racecourse.
The Dubai sky witnessed a show that fused fire, light, and millimetric precision. A central element was the performance by the British aerobatic team Aerosparx, known for their night flights featuring pyrotechnics and illuminated smoke effects. On this occasion, Aerosparx flew in perfect synchronization with a swarm of drones and ground-based visual effects, in a flawlessly integrated aerial choreography. The swarm, made up of 5,983 drones, brought to life stunning 3D animations: from galloping horses to portraits of Emirati leaders such as Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid. The show was certified by Guinness World Records and became one of the year’s greatest technological achievements.
Overhorizon, a company specialized in aerial events and activities, was present providing support for the Aerosparx team’s display to ensure the safety, synchronization, and spectacular nature of the performance.
In addition to Aerosparx, the Flying Dragons Team contributed their unmistakable style to the event with a visually intense aerobatic routine, including dynamic maneuvers, colored smoke, and special effects.

For more than 20 minutes, the ceremony combined cutting-edge technology (drones, lasers, aerial pyrotechnics, stage lighting) with a visual narrative that celebrated the cultural identity of the United Arab Emirates, highlighting its connection to horses and the competitive spirit.
The finale, marked by a message of national pride and a promise for the future—“See you next year: 30th anniversary of Dubai World Cup”—was accompanied by a final synchronized burst between drones and aircraft, uniting sky and emotion in a single experience.
